Organic market gardening, sheep, a few cattle, donkeys and llamas: the tipi sits in the middle of it all.
Why we opened our meadows
We are organic market gardeners and livestock farmers in Médonville, in the western Vosges. Our days are spent outside, between the vegetable beds and the pastures.
The idea of the tipi came from that setting: a quiet spot, slightly set apart, with a clear view over the hills. We wanted to share it as it is, without turning it into a holiday village.
So you are guests of farmers, not visitors to a tourist resort. That, we hope, is what gives the place its charm.

Organic market gardening
Vegetables grown organically, following the seasons.
The sheep
The flock grazes the meadows around the tipi; it gives the place its name.
A few cattle
A small number of beef cattle complete the livestock.
The donkeys
Curious and calm, they often come right up to the fence.
The llamas
They share the pastures and watch the comings and goings from a distance.
Spring and lambing
In spring, the farm lives to the rhythm of lambing. Depending on the date of your stay and how the births unfold, you may be lucky enough to witness it. We cannot promise anything: the ewes decide.
The neighbouring farms
For the local produce board and the drinks, we work with producers from nearby. It is the simplest way to let you taste the region, without pretending to run a restaurant.
